What I Learned Today

I think I already knew this, but I re-learned it today. Here it is, folks.

Do not argue, or spar verbally with a micro-manager.

Good responses when dealing with MMs: "Sure." "Right, then." "Absolutely." "Thanks for bringing that to my attention."

Whatever you do, do not get into the details. That's their area of specialty. And, they will get you every time. Take deep breaths, and accept how great you are at the broad strokes, the big picture, the vision. And, don't let the detail people get you down.
