Perfume stench

A question for all you know-it-alls out there: I just bought a beautiful beaded necklace at Neighbourhood Services. Problem is it has serious perfume stench. How do I get perfume stench out of it? Or, should I just dispose of it immediately?

Perfumes are generally oil based. That means soapy water should do the trick.

OK. The bead necklace is soaking in suds. I'm hoping for the best.

If it isn't too delicate to put in liquid, there is almost certainly a solution to this problem.

wow. that's a good question. maybe vinegar and then a good soap and water washing. if it isn't too delicate put it in the dishwasher if you have one. another thing you might try is wikihow. if you don't know what this is, write to me or reply and i'll give you the link.
