Christmas Angst

Today someone asked me if I had my shopping done. No, I don't. Other Ottawa bloggers seem to have their shit together. Jo Stockton has a complicated diagram system that enables her to efficiently get in a store, get the gift, and get out-- all with relative ease and precision. Andrea has all her shopping done, and got really cool stuff for people on Etsy. Zoom is busy collecting brilliant ideas on how to have a quick and easy minimalist Christmas. What have I done, you ask? Nothing. I have made a couple of pillows. I cannot possibly produce enough pillows to give everyone a pillow unless I start my own sweatshop.

Ooh, good! Back to the angst!

Aggie: I give you permission to give me nothing this Christmas. And may the relief from the stress and angst of trying to make me a pillow in time, be MY gift to you. OK?
I'm with Zoom on this one: minimalist is best.

It hadn't even crossed my mind that begging for Christmas shortcuts could be considered a Christmas accomplishment! You have no idea how good I feel at this very moment. Thank you Aggie.

Coyote: I'm glad my pain brings you pleasure.
Harmony: Bless you!
Zoom: Yes, it is an accomplishment. You are among those who have their shit together.

And I'm glad that my pleasure brings you gladness...

Oh, wait. Sarcasm...?
